You're Invited To The Me & My Pets November Dog Walk!

Join us for the Me & My Pets November Dog Walk! A fun day out for all the family, there will be a group dog walk set in a beautiful location, as well as lots of exciting things happening on the day - including a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

The November Walk will be held on Sunday, November 11th 2018, at Whitlingham Country Park, in Trowse, Norfolk.

The walk itself will take place around Whitlingham Lake which forms part of the Norfolk Broads. It’s a truly magnificent sight, especially around autumn time, and it’s a great place to take your dog as well as meet other dog owners!

The event is free and runs from 12pm until 4pm – making it the perfect opportunity for a day out with your friends and family, as well as your favourite furry companion!

What to expect

As well as meeting other dogs and their owners, there will lots happening on the day to make sure everyone enjoys themselves.

The first 25 walkers to arrive will receive a special goody bag which will be packed full of Me & My Pets gifts as well as doggy treats from other local pet companies.

We’ll also be hosting a charity raffle to raise money for the RSPCA East Norfolk Branch. Every dog walker who comes along to the November Walk will instantly receive one free ticket for the raffle. And there will be lots of opportunities for you to buy more strips on the day, to help increase your chances of winning our fantastic prizes.

And you can be sure you’ll be in great company on the day as joining us will be some of our favourite Instagram-famous dogs! So, don’t forget to keep an eye out for them too!

What to bring

Below is a helpful checklist of things to remember on the day that will not only help you, but also help the day run super smoothly!

  • Dog lead (or leads) – it’s really important to keep your dog on their lead at all times. Not only because this is one of the rules at Whitlingham Lake, but it’s also the safer option for when you’re heading out with a large group of dogs.
  • Dog collar or harness – not only to attach your lead but dog harnesses in particular are ideal for helping you control your dog safely and comfortably.
  • Treats – these are great for helping you to reward your dog’s good behaviour as well as give your dog something tasty on the day to keep them going. And our Treat Bags are just the ticket for helping you make sure they don’t all go at once!
  • Poo bags – please don’t forget to pick up after your pup when they’ve done their business! There are lots of doggy poo bins dotted around the lake, so you can dispose of your bags quickly and easily while out on the walk.
  • Car seat and boot protector – as much as we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a beautiful day, there’s always the chance for mud. To help you reduce the chances of mud and dirt making its way to your car, remember to fit your car with a seat or boot protector!
  • Outdoor clothing – don’t forget to wrap up warm and bring wellies just in case. There’s a path all the way round the lake but there are a couple of sections that sometimes get a little muddy.
  • Spare change – to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes in our raffle, don’t forget to bring some spare change to buy tickets. And if you’re parking in the carpark, remember to bring change or your card for the machine.
