Pancakes for dogs

Pancakes-For-Dogs

When it comes to making dog-friendly pancakes, it’s all about cutting out those sugary ingredients. The best way to make pancakes for your dog is to keep it simple:

Ingredients:

200g flour

2 eggs

400ml water

Directions:

Combine the three ingredients into a batter and keep whisking until smooth.

Next, you can either pop a ladle full of the batter into a microwavable dish and heat for a couple of minutes, or you can fry like traditional pancakes with a small amount of oil.

Make sure the pancakes have cooled properly before you give them to your dog.

If you want to add in some dog-friendly toppings, why not try putting peanut butter on top? You can also use a little bit of Marmite, some sliced banana, vegetables such as carrots or cucumbers, or decorate with your dog’s favourite biscuits.

Just make sure you read the label on the peanut butter to ensure it doesn't contain xylitol, as this can be toxic for dogs. And Marmite has high salt so make sure you keep it to a minimum.

Pancakes for cats

Unlike dogs - who are omnivores - cats are actually carnivores. So feeding them things that aren't meat should be done very sparingly. That said, there's no reason they can't have a little nibble on these cat-friendly treats.

Ingredients:

1 cup of ground sirloin

3 tablespoons of oats

1 egg

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl until smooth.

Tear off small chunks of the mixture and roll into balls, then flatten into little pancakes.

Grill for 8 minutes on a medium heat.

Let them cool for around half an hour before giving to your cat.

Cats love their meat and fish so if you're looking to give them a treat, how about putting a little bit of tuna or chicken on top? Not what we would choose necessarily... but something your cat will love!

And there you have it! Pet friendly pancakes so the whole family can get involved – four-legged friends and all! Fancy trying out these recipes? Send us your pics on Instagram or Facebook @Meandmypetsofficial.
